Orleton Lane, Eastham, Tenbury Wells

Call initially received as a house fire - bedroom involved.  On arrival, 4 breathing apparatus wearers entered the smoke filled building to extinguish the fire.  On arrival at the bedroom, crews were unable to locate a fire, but reported heavy smokelogging.

Crews investigating the source of the smoke, located an air vent on a chimney breast pumping smoke into the building.  Crews gained entry to the wall by removing the plasterboard and bricks to investigate.  Entry to the chimney was also gained through the roofspace, where a fire was located outside the flu of an oil powered boiler, but within the chimney.

Crews used a hose reel to extinguish.

A hosereel was also used via roof ladder and 13.5 metre ladder.
