Helmet.

We wear the Cromwell F600 helmet, which incorporates a full face shield that can be pulled down when required.

Jacket.

The jacket has a number of high visibility stripes.  In the Sleeves there is a cuff, which overlaps the cuff on the fire gloves.

Trousers.

The trousers are of the same material as the tunic and are quite short.  This is so that the reflective stripe on the boot can be seen.

Boots.

These are leather, lightweight boots, with a reflective stripe on the side.

Door Wedges.

We carry two or three wooden door wedges.

Flash Hood.

This is a similar to a balaclava.  It is worn with breathing apparatus, and protects the face and neck from heat.

Gloves.

The gloves are yellow and are water and blood resistant.  They also offer thermal protection.

Personal Protection Pouch.

This is a small pouch kept in a pocket, which contains ear plugs, plastic gloves, and a resusi-aid.

Personal Line.

This is a general purpose line.

Acme Thunderer Whistle.

All firefighters carry a whistle, used to evacuate firefighters from a building or structure in an emergency.
