Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service have adopted a grey and red uniform for it's firefighters, selected following national procurement by the organisation "FireBuy".

Station Wear Uniform

The uniform is supplied by Bristol Uniforms and was selected following rigorous national testing, evaluation and a challenging procurement process.

All staff wear a titanium grey open-neck shirt, with a red t-shirt underneath, dark grey trousers and black shoes.

There are also two coats supplied, one fleece and one raincoat.  They can also be zipped together to form one warmer coat.

Personnel also wear red rank markings on the collar of the shirt.

The uniform includes a number of features, designed specifically for the fire and rescue service.  The knees have more material at the front than the back, which prevents creasing when worn under fire-kit.  The shirts also have a special cut under the arms to allow stretching, and the buttons are press stud poppers to quickly remove the shirt for firecalls.  The material also includes natural odour neutralisers and have wicking properties.
